All Officials working YOUTH games will be required to have current USAH Certification.
All officials working ADULT games will not be required to have USAH Certification.
Register as an official and pay an annual fee online at USAHockey.com Currently USAH Registration for the 2021-22 season is currently available however required seminar dates have not been set yet. Dates should be available in April.
"Attend" a USAH Officiating Seminar. Once you are registered for USAH and have paid your dues, you will be given the opportunity to register for a USAH seminar. NWOA will be offering seminars for the 2021/22 season however dates have not been set yet. Register for this seminar on the USAH website thru your person profile page. There are many other seminars being offered and because they are all virtual you can register for any future seminar in the US, if available.
Complete an open book online test. Once you have paid for your USAH registration you will receive an email inviting you to take the test and notifying you once its available. testing is usually available 24hrs after registration.
Complete the USA Olympic Committee SafeSport Training Program required for anyone 18 years of age or older.
Complete the USA Hockey required background screening. USAH mandates that every member, through a local affiliate be checked every 2 years. This process is conducted thru the Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association
Sign in to your profile and complete the online education training modules.
Once you have completed steps 1-6 USAH will mail you an official crest to be attached to your officiating sweater along with an officials certification card. You are now ready to officiate hockey so let your scheduler know you are ready to go!
